Charlie: The Cheeky Purple Engine of the Island of sodor💜

If there’s one engine on the Island of Sodor who’s always having fun, it’s Charlie. Best known as

the purple (or blue-purple!) engine from Thomas & Friends, Charlie brings laughter, silliness,

and plenty of confidence wherever he goes.

Who Is Charlie?

Charlie is a small tank engine who instantly recognisable thanks to his bright purple paintwork, wide smile, and expressive face.

Charlie firmly believes he’s the funniest engine on Sodor—and he’s always ready with a joke to

prove it!

Unlike some engines who focus on rules, speed, or being the most important, Charlie’s main

goal is simple: to have fun and make others laugh.

Although Charlie usually means well, his jokes don’t always land the way he hopes. At times,
