Meet James

Meet James, the red number 5 engine on the Island of Sodor. As a mixed-traffic engine, James is versatile, capable of pulling both freight and passenger trains. However, he prefers not to pull freight because it might dirty his shiny red paint, which he takes great pride in. When James first arrived on the island, he was painted black and equipped with wooden brake blocks, which ultimately led to a crash. Now, sporting his bright red paint, James often boasts about his appearance, but this pride frequently gets him into trouble.
