Who Is Oliver?

Oliver is a Great Western 14xx tank engine, painted a cheerful dark green and proudly displaying the letters GWR (Great Western Railway) on his sides. He works on the Little Western branch line alongside Duck, the Great Western engine, and his loyal brake van, Toad.

His Daring Escape 🚆✨

Oliver didn’t start life on the Island of Sodor. He once worked on the mainland, but when he was scheduled to be scrapped, he made a bold and brave escape with the help of his faithful brake van, Toad.

Together, they raced through the night—dodging inspectors and danger—until they finally found safety on Sodor, thanks to the kindness of the Fat Controller and the other engines.

It’s one of the most thrilling stories in the Thomas & Friends universe and teaches an important lesson: never give up, even when things seem impossible.
